See What USA-Made Really Means at PRINTING United Expo

“Made in the USA” can be a powerful selling point. But for apparel decorators, simply putting those four words on a product description may no longer be enough.

“‘Made in the USA’ answers one question,” explains Scott Thackston, director of marketing and product development, Bandanna Warehouse. “It doesn’t tell you the fabric is non-bleached, that it was water-based rotary printed instead of run through solvent dyes, or that the cotton came from named growing states [in the U.S.] instead of an unverified import.”

Customers increasingly want to know all of that information — and more. At PRINTING United Expo, Bandanna Warehouse wants to help decorators answer those questions.

The company will bring its made-in-USA story to the show floor with products attendees can see, touch, and take with them, along with new offerings set to make their debut at the Expo.

Bandanna Warehouse is also taking the conversation beyond its booth and into the Apparelist Live! Theater, where it will show decorators how transparency and traceability can become valuable sales tools.

A Supply Chain You Can Truly See

For decorators, understanding exactly where a product comes from can go beyond peace of mind. It can provide an entirely new way to sell it. Customers want more information while having justification for paying higher prices, and being able to provide that story from start to finish when it comes to the blanks the industry decorates gives businesses a major advantage.

It’s a story that involves more than the decorator and the product; it also involves supplier partners. “We can trace our bandannas and textile fabrics back to the actual cotton fields in the southeast where it’s grown and harvested from,” Thackston says of their story.

Bandanna Warehouse’s USA-made bandannas begin with cotton grown across the Carolinas and Georgia. That material is spun and woven in Hamrick Mills in Gaffney, South Carolina. From there, the fabric travels to Tryon Finishing in Tryon, North Carolina, where water-based rotary printing and finishing take place. The final steps include cutting and sewing in South Carolina.

Altogether, the vertical supply chain spans approximately 60 miles.

It is a process decorators can explain to their customers in concrete terms, rather than relying on broad statements about domestic sourcing. And with the tariffs, increasing inflation, and supply chain disruption that has dominated 2026, that distinction has added significance.

That theme will be a major focus of Bandanna Warehouse’s Apparelist Live! Theater session, “A Supply Chain You Can Truly See.”

“The Apparel Zone’s theme this year is ‘Wear The Future,’ and for us that’s not just a tagline,” Thackston believes. “We wanted to present a session that answers that for real, at every step, not just at the box — four partners inside a 60-mile radius in the Carolinas, doing what we’ve done since 1946, and earlier when Hamrick Mills was founded in 1900.”

All of the sessions in the Apparelist Live! Theater are designed to educate and give anyone interested in apparel decoration the opportunity to strengthen their business. For many across the industry, the supply chain journey should be a top priority to understand. “Once you have an education on the supply chain journey then feel the product, it makes an impact you don’t forget — and that’s a better teacher than anything we can say from a stage,” Thackston adds.

Attendees will not only have a chance to hear the presentation but see the products for themselves. During the Expo, attendees will be able to engage with some of the company’s top products, such as 100% natural cotton bandannas, the Snap and Go pet triangle products, and the company’s American-made 100% cotton jacquard woven blankets.

But there’s more.

Also on display will be several new items for attendees to experience in-person: · The Sandless Beach & Outdoor Blanket Towel is expertly loom-woven in the USA on advanced jacquard looms, using premium 100% cotton yarns engineered for durability, comfort, and high-definition design clarity.

· The Performance Two-Way Stretch bandannas are premium wearables designed for an active lifestyle. Available for both humans and pets, this performance fabric features no-sew edges for all-day, snag-free comfort for everyone.

Rather than treating “USA made” as the end of the sales pitch, Bandanna Warehouse encourages decorators to use the details behind domestic manufacturing to help customers understand what they are purchasing — and why those details have value.

A Trusted Partner in Print

Telling the made-in-USA story also hits another area of this industry: printing. Bandanna Warehouse also plans to make that story tangible at PRINTING United Expo. Attendees will be able to access free sample kits of its six imprinting methods at the booth along with blank goods available to touch, feel, and take.

“With this year’s theme ‘Wear The Future’ and September (when the show will take place) to both land in America’s 250th year — there’s not a bigger stage to reveal what Bandanna Warehouse has been building toward, with unique product features and the exact printing process for the best fit all year,” Thackston says.

Bandanna Warehouse is uniquely positioned to be both a blanks and printing partner, providing a strong traceability story that any decorator can share with their customers. Its six imprinting processes include:

· Digital printing

· Silkscreen

· Heat transfer

· Embroidery

· Rotary

· Duplex

When your busy shop needs a trusted, made-in-USA printing partner, Bandanna comes through.

More importantly, when the entire story comes together, it provides a vetted supply chain that the industry needs and the customer wants. It answers the questions, where is my product coming from? How is it made? And what am I paying for?

It’s bigger than a sales pitch or a money-grab. “We’ve started calling this our ‘Farm-to-Print’ story,” Thackston says. “It’s not just made in the USA — it’s a chain you can actually follow, mill by mill, all the way to the finished piece in your hand.

“When a decorator — or a promo distributor or commercial printer testing American-made textiles and apparel for the first time — can walk their own client through the fully vertical and 100% sustainable process from field to mill, to press to sewing floor, they’re not defending a price anymore,” he continues. “They’re handing over a one-of-a-kind story their client can repeat for years to come.”

The message is a natural evolution of the USA-made conversation: Don’t just sell the product. Sell the story behind it.
